Our customer since year 2010 has been producing safe, compact, ecologically clean and high-quality wood pellets with high thermal output. Products can be used for burning in automated boiler houses, as well as at already existing coal-based stations, which will allow to use up to 35% of wood pellets without additional reconstruction. For transportation of finished production there is used railway. The company is planning to produce 130,000 tons of granules per year.
During the production process, it was found that the quality of the chips varies according to the composition, size and other characteristics. This leads to the decrease in the amount of pellet production. Due to it the management of the company decided to equip the production site with an additional chip preparation line.
The control system of the chip preparation line is automated complex for automatic control of bunkers, carriers, conveyors, shredders, sorting machines and dampers.
The line works as follows:
1) chips are loaded into the bunker No.1 (large bunker);
2) by moving along the carrier at a certain speed (depending on the quality) and passing through the looseners, the chips get to the conveyor;
3) through the conveyor chain, the chip enters the sorting machine (screen);
4) sorting machine (screen) directs the chips to 2 conveyors;
– good quality chips come to the conveyor chain, which transports it to the dampers;
– poor quality chips come to the conveyor, which transports it to the bunker No.2 (small bunker);
– good quality chips after reaching dampers and their opening (regulated by the operator) are filled into the bunker for further loading in the dryer;
– poor quality chips by moving with the carrier at certain speed (depending on the quality) and passing through the looseners come to the conveyor. This conveyor delivers chips to the crushing equipment;
– when crushing poor quality chips, the crushing equipment makes it suitable for further production of pellets;
– after crushing the chips are loaded on the conveyor, which carries it to bunker No.1 (large bunker).
1) by processing only good quality chips the line compartment “bunker No.2 (small bunker), crushing equipment and connecting conveyors” is powered off for energy saving purposes;
2) by processing only poor quality chips the line compartment “bunker No.2 (small bunker), crushing equipment and connecting conveyors” is able to work independently or in short-term in accordance with the timer (timer is regulated by the operator) for energy saving purposes. The launch of this line compartment is carried out manually by the operator or automatically by the carrier of bunker No.2 (small bunker) level;
3) the operator with the remote control can:
– turn on/off the chip preparation line;
– open/close dumpers;
– turn on/off the line compartment “bunker No.2 (small bunker), crushing equipment and connecting conveyors”.
The automation system is realized on the basis of Siemens, Solcon, Beijer production.
Main components of the system:
1) controller Siemens Simatic S7-1200 (CPU1214C) with set of inputs and outputs;
2) graphic panel Beijer T7A;
3) software:
– Siemens TIA programming;
– Beijer IX Developer 2.0 visualisation
